A fairly flat hiking loop through some meadows with decent views! (Makes for a fun snowshoe but that will be challenging in September.)
A very short but steep hike. Go for the 180 degree lake view!
Unbelievably beautiful views. See by car, hike, or boat!
Great meandering hikes by the lake. Look out for bizarre, abandoned lighthouses and hooligans jumping from very high rocks & rope swings down below! Fun Fact: This is the bride & groom's favorite place to rock jump.
We don't know the official name for this, but it runs all along the West Shore - you can't miss it. You can rent bikes in Tahoe City or at West Shore Sports and cruise the West Shore or walk up and down the path.
This is one of our favorite hikes. It is definitely somewhat challenging and starts off with some steep switchbacks, but the views from the top are primo. It takes 3ish hours.
The fish tacos are fire. Zucchini fries are delicious as well. Fun Fact: The location of the Bride's first Cheeseburger.
Excellent Sandwiches (and they have the Bride's favorite gluten-free bread). Recommendation: Get the Turkey Club and walk over to the public beach and enjoy a picnic with a view.
If you have a mild (to more than mild) hangover, then this place is your spot. There will be a wait, but you can get coffee in the shack behind while you wait. Large portions and fantastic gluten free toast.
An excellent spot for an upscale lakeside dining experience & view.
Public beach and dock access, food and a fun above-the-lake bar. Always a good time.
The legendary Squaw Valley Ski Resort - makes for a fun afternoon activity! Shops, restaurants and a tram to the summit with excellent mountain views.
If you're coming from (the) 80, this is a worthy spot for sandwiches, coffee, baked goods, and smoothies. Gluten free baked goods & sandwich options here too!
Our favorite casual dinner place in Truckee - good vibes and good food. Fish tacos are delicious! Downtown Truckee has many local shops that make for a fun post-meal walk.
A great place to get coffee in the morning!
