Garden of the Gods
One of Colorado's most iconic places. You can drive or hike through, and it is pet friendly.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
One of our favorite activities in the Springs. You can feed the giraffes and watch two baby orangutans play!
Red Rock Canyon Open Space
Excellent (and can be easy) hiking that's close to town.
United States Air Force Academy
USAFA offers an incredible tour of the grounds and facilities, including the infamous chapel. Colorado beat out other interested states in the mid-1900's as the best location for the Air Force to train its officers.
Old Colorado City
Old Colorado City has some of the best restaurants and shops in the city. It's walkable and hip. Some of our favorite places to eat are Jake and Telly's and Front Range Barbecue.
Broadmoor Hotel
The Broadmoor is another Colorado icon. The Golden Bee offers piano sing-alongs every evening and has an English tavern-style feel. There are several shops, and walking through the main hotel lobby leads you to a beautiful lake terrace, that's pretty even in the winter!
Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center
This is definitely one of our favorite places, though it is a bit of a drive west. The sanctuary offers tours that teach you about the history of wolves in North America and the impact of this specific sanctuary on conversation efforts.
