In the age of Internet dating, Tia and Jason met through... Jason's mom. =) Tia and Cheryl served together with Flatirons Community Church's young adult ministry, and when Jason visited from Los Angeles over Thanksgiving 2014, they clicked. They clicked even more the following month at a New Belgium tour when they discovered they both had almost every episode of the Office memorized, they preferred their coffee black, and they both enjoyed a neat glass of Scotch. Jason returned to LA and Tia ended up moving to Colorado Springs from the Boulder area, but the relationship continued to develop and they became experts at teeing up their favorite Netflix shows to watch together over FaceTime. Eventually, Jason decided he was ready for a change (and to be close to Tia), and he moved to Colorado Springs in May 2016. The last few years as Springs residents have been so fulfilling. Highlights include: the pursuit of the best brewery, wings, and burgers in the Springs (in each separate category); Game of Thrones TV, books, and themed-parties; summertime backyard grilling and gardening; hiking in the Colorado mountains; and Discovery Community Church, where they often worship together on stage (Jason on drums and Tia on keys) and have found a deep and positive community. They are so excited for this next chapter of their story, and are so thankful to have you be a part of it!
