No guests are permitted to drive directly to the venue as there are no parking spaces available at this mountaintop venue. However, we will be arranging for a shuttle to transport all guests safely to the venue from either the designated hotel, The Ramsey, or a separate designated pickup area you'll be able to park at.
Due to the venue size, we made the decision to only extend +1s to to friends and family that were living with, engaged to, or married to their significant other at the time we sent our Save the Dates last January. We are only able to invite a small number of guests (80!) and thus have had to be extra thoughtful with our guest list. We know that this isn't ideal and appreciate everyone's understanding!
No! You are more than welcome to stay anywhere you'd like in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or the surrounding areas. We want all of our guests to maximize their time here so do whatever makes sense for you! Keep in mind that if you decide not to stay at The Ramsey, you will need to drive/ride share to/from the shuttle pickup/drop-off locations on the day of the wedding.
Our caterers will have dishes pre-prepared for guests who have shared their dietary restrictions with us! Ask a server for a special meal (vegetarian, non-red meats) the night of the wedding if you're unable to eat dinner from the buffet.
We're hoping that most of our friends & family will not experience any travel impacts since the majority of guests are coming from up north but, just in case, we wanted to pass along this helpful blurb we received from our planner! Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley are operating as usual with all major attractions including Dollywood remaining open. Access to the area is limited via I-40 from the Carolinas. Exits 435 and 440 are currently closed so please use exit 407 on I-40. If you are traveling from the Carolinas via I-26 and I-40 please use google maps to see the re-routing options including traveling North to I-81. We expect the road closure status to change daily so we suggest checking the NC DOT website (www.ncdot.gov) and the TN DOT website (https://smartway.tn.gov/traffic) for the most recent updates. Some additional travel considerations: - If you were flying in or out of the Asheville, NC airport for the wedding, we'd recommend confirming with your airline that your flight is still on! There are region-wide power and internet issues so their website is not being updated regularly yet. As far as we know, flights & car rentals have already resumed as of 9/30. - If you were planning on touring the national park, we'd recommend checking out the NPS website for the most up to date information on road & trail closures. Majority of the TN side of the park is up and running as normal, but there are always some trail closures!
