Flight
There are 3 Airports in the area depending on where you're coming from and if you're going straight to the venue or not. Sacramento Airport: If you're flying in on the day and going straight to the wedding venue or nearby accommodation this is the closest airport. This is not the best option if you want to spend time in San Francisco or the Bay Area prior to the wedding. Also, limited international flights arrive here. Oakland Airport: This is the next closest airport to the venue and the closest airport to our house in Walnut Creek. However, not many international flights land here. San Francisco Airport: This is the main international airport and the best place to fly in if you're looking to explore San Francisco before the wedding. There is a train that goes from the airport to the City. There is also a train that goes directly to our city, Walnut Creek

Travel Note
DIRECTIONS TO TINSLEY BY CAR Navigate to King Island Marina (11530 W. Eight Mile Rd., Stockton, CA 95219). Download maps before you go, as cell service can be spotty. Depending on traffic, the drive takes 2.5 hours from San Francisco and 1.5 hours from the Peninsula and Marin County. As you approach King Island Marina, you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere—you are in the right spot. PARKING All cars parked at King Island must display a parking permit, which can be purchased from the Marina Store for $10 a day. If the Marina Store is closed when you arrive, write a note on your dash and settle up before you depart. Do not park in reserved areas as your car could be towed. Parking is allowed on the side of the road and on the hill behind the Marina Office. If you are confused about where to park, look for cars with the StFYC burgee. LAUNCH The Tinsley Island launch dock is directly across from the Marina Store. The regular launch is complimentary. We'll be running a schedule to get you to and from the island for the wedding DIRECTIONS TO TINSLEY ISLAND BY SEA Tinsley Island is located on the main shipping channel in the San Joaquin River between Little Connection and Disappointment Sloughs. Coming upriver from the Bay, the last flashing red marker is #12, at which point Tinsley is ahead to your right. The main entrance to the lagoon is at the southeast end of the island, and the secondary entrance is at the southwest end. Both are marked with Club signage. If you are making this cruise for the first time, we recommend you contact members of the Tinsley Island Committee, or other frequent visitors, for local information on information on False River, Michael’s Cut, and timing of the tides.
