IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WEDDING ATTENDEES AND TINSLEY GUESTS

Answer

Important information for wedding attendees: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15cjbb3i7LiSbfeUsqGZ6qN5lUDXk4Keoqqxtw8d-kQ4/edit?usp=sharing Additional info needed for Tinsley overnight guests: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vhhY3epoOu0HirAC4s58h1Gh1Q-cH8cIDKJBo5OQWkk/edit?usp=sharing

Question

How do we get to Tinsley Island?

Answer

Tinsley Island is only accessible by boat. We will be running a ferry regularly throughout the weekend to allow guests to arrive and depart. Specific ferry timings will be available closer to the date of the event, but can be expected to launch hourly at a minimum. For those wishing to arrive on a boat of their own, there is ample docking space available on the island, please reach out for full details and pricing.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have a limited number of spots available at the wedding, please keep attendees to those listed on your invite. If you're traveling with children, we will have organised activities, please refer to the more detailed answer to this question further down.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Yes! We will be organising activities and space for children under 10 and to enjoy their time at Tinsley Island. While children will not be allowed at the ceremony itself, we will have activities to keep them safe and occupied during this time. Please reach out to us at least 3 months in advance if you're planning to bring children, so that we can plan appropriately.

Question

What accommodation is available?

Answer

We’ll be sharing more information about accommodation soon including hotel blocks at nearby locations in Lodi. If you wish to bring a boat and dock at Tinsley Island please contact us directly.

Question

Are there any rules on the island?

Answer

Yes, there are a few rules that need to be respected while on the island. Please review here for more information about the Tinsley Island Rules https://www.stfyc.com/default.aspx?p=.NET_ArticleView&qfilter=RSC12036&tview=0&itemID=314725&chgs=&ssid=335279

Question

What is the weather like at that time of year?

Answer

We expect that the weather will be mild. Usually around 70-75F or ~22C for our metric-based friends. It will likely cool down a lot after sundown so some additional warm layering is recommended. Rain is not generally expected for this time of year, but there is a small chance. If you're traveling, we suggest bringing light rain gear just in case!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’re calling this Tinsley Chic. This will be a semi-formal event, with a twist. We’re encouraging people to have some fun with it! Think cocktail attire, color, and California, and don’t be afraid to express yourself!
