Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to make sure everyone is seated before we start. However, the venue is half the decor itself! Give yourself some time to take in the views of the beautiful golf course, string lit porch and find your seats under the big tree.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that guests follow along the lines of cocktail and semi formal. It will be a warm summer day and evening, so dress comfortably for an outside ceremony and dancing on the porch. While we don't require tuxes and top hats, we'd appreciate the jeans and gym shoes to stay at home. And who doesn't want an excuse to show off that new tie!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to be outside under a beautiful, big maple tree. It's June, so plan to be warm, but we expect a good amount of shade from the tree and some amount of refreshing breeze coming off the fields and golf course. The venue does have a beautiful, grassy outside aspect to it, but most of the evening will take place on concrete, a deck, or inside. The cocktail hour will be outside on the covered porch, down in the grass if you would like to challenge someone in some yard games, or around the venue taking in the space. Dinner will be inside in the large main room, and dancing will follow afterwards back out on the covered porch under the string lights.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

You can either drive straight to the venue yourself and park in the venue's private parking lot, or you can take the shuttle from the "travel" page if you will be staying in one of the hotels in the area. Overnight parking will NOT be allowed at the venue, so if you plan to drink at all, please leave your car at the hotel and take our private shuttle that will be running throughout the night.

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we LOVE kids, as evidenced by our wild roost, we are taking the night to celebrate kid-free, even from our own! Take this as a guilt-free chance to finally hire that sitter and make it a date night or weekend get away!

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will be offering beer and wine throughout the evening commencing after the ceremony, with last call being at 8:45PM. There will also be 2 liquor-based drinks of the bride and groom's favorites during cocktail hour followed by a champagne toast. All other non alcoholic beverages will be included as well. There will be light appetizers during cocktail hour, followed by a unique dinner and dessert experience!

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes, there are a couple options offered- please see the "travel" page. Also, head over to "things to do" page for information about sites to see, restaurants to try, or adventures to go on if you will be making a weekend trip out of it.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We are doing an "unplugged" ceremony, which means we will ask that you completely silence your devices during the ceremony and refrain from taking photos or videos. After the ceremony and throughout the night, feel free to capture some candids and post to social media. Don't forget to use our hashtag! #perfectlyprepared

What's the best way to RSVP? What's the deadline?

Answer

Right on this website! The RSVP tab is now open. This will keep things electronically organized and make sure that you don't get lost in a sea of texts or DMs. Please do so by May 1.
