Lake Almanor West Park
As guests of the Jern/Smith's you will have access to the lakeside park right next to our wedding venue. There is a beach, sand volleyball court, bocci ball, horse shoe pit, basketball court, swings, and play ground equipment. BBQ pits and picnic tables are available as well.
Lassen Volcanic National Park
Mt. Lassen (10,457') is the centerpiece of this National Park and the world largest plug dome volcano. We have hiked to the top and the views are amazing!!! The park has a cool visitor center, many stunning vistas as you drive through the park, and hiking trails of all distances and abilities. All four types of volcanoes in the world are found within Lassen Volcanic National Park. Over 150 miles of trails and a scenic highway provide access to epic sights including steam vents, mudpots, boiling pools, volcanic peaks, and painted dunes.
Lake Almanor
Lake Almanor is a gem hidden in the northeastern mountains of California. Jeremy's family has had a lake front house there for over 30 years. Fishing (Laura caught a whopper!), boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, bird watching, and all manner of fun can be had on the lake. Biking, golfing, and hiking are available too.
Majors Outpost Boat Rentals
For a fun day on the lake you can rent ski boats, jet skis, pontoon boats, & fishing boats.
Cravings Cafe Espresso Bar & Bakery
Fresh food at a reasonable price. Great Chester, California atmosphere and there is a book shop attached to the restaurant. Open 7am - 2pm Serves breakfast and lunch.
