She's been incredibly influential not only in my life, but also in the little lives she touches daily as an educator!

6th Grade... Quail Valley Middle School.... Ms. Edwards Social Studies class is where I met my best friend! She’d always let me copy the homework lol! We would cut up in the back of the class and give that teacher hell! Fast Forward to our Junior year of High school she got me out of Spanish, couldn’t graduate without a foreign language and boy did I copy that Final! I guess I owe her my diploma lol! She’s always had my back then and even more now! 20 + years of friendship speaks for itself! So honored to have her by my side!

She befriended me and made sure I was ok each day that I waddled into work, such a pure heart and genuine person. We ran in the same circle unknowingly, so I guess it was inevitable that we'd become really good friends over the years. So thrilled she's sharing this day with me.

Army Vet, fresh home from the Gulf War... Reginald meets Tonya. At that time I had to have been about four or so, I'm sure he thought about running because I WAS BAD! But he didn't, he supported me and loved me unconditionally as if he birthed me himself. As a child I thought he was strict and tough, not realizing he was exactly what I needed to shape me into the woman I am today. The appreciation I have for him now that I have a family of my own is that much more! For someone to raise you as their own and not only love you, but your children as well, is a gift I'm forever grateful for. More than a stepfather or a "Bonus Dad" he truly means the world to me! I'm ecstatic to have him give me away.
