Somehow missing each other for three years at Drake University, Alex and Brandon's paths finally crossed one night in August of 2019. They met at SigEp satellite house, Cantina, where they were introduced by a mutual friend with the classic line: "Menne, have you met Besch?" and then forced the two to take a photo together. Alex decided to take a chance and follow him as the crowd went to Downtown Des Moines staple, American Outlaws. From there the two returned to Brandon's house where his housemates danced on chairs to "Crazy Frog" and the two chatted on the roof. After crashing on his couch, Brandon woke Alex up with a cup of coffee and played his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. I vinyl record. To this day he swears he was trying to get rid of her, while Alex says it's what made her fall in love.
