What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving around 3:30-3:45 pm. This should give you enough time to park (if driving), and to get situated before the proceedings.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Rifle is very much like Denver in August. You can expect it to be in the mid-90s during the day with temperatures dropping to the mid-70s in the evening. We do recommend bringing some sunscreen since the ceremony will be outdoors! Colorado can be unpredictable though, so having a light sweater on hand for the evening is never a bad idea.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would LOVE to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. This includes khakis, dress pants, button-downs & midi dresses or cocktail dresses. We ask that you please refrain from wearing jeans, sneakers or casual wear and that ladies avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride — white, ivories & creams.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones but due to venue capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those formally listed on your wedding invitation. Those invited will be listed under your name when you RSVP online. We hope this notice is enough time for you to make arrangements so you can take a night off and celebrate with us!

Can I bring a plus one?

We will only be able to accommodate those who are listed under your RSVP on our wedding website. Thank you for understanding!

Will there be an open bar?

Duhhh! Non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided.

Will there be transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle to bring guests to/from Vista View Events. For more information, please check out our Travel & Accommodations tab.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony which means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer + videographer to capture this special day and we’d hate to have their photos have phones in them. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you want!

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Vista View Events has a large parking area next to the venue, as well as handicapped parking directly in front of the venue. All parking is free. Please be aware that no overnight parking is permitted.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are kindly asking all guests to RSVP no later than July 1st, 2023. However, if you can RSVP as soon as you can, it would really help us out!

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

Please let us know if you have a food allergy so we can pass that information onto our caterers. You will be asked if you have any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

We have created a honeymoon fund under the 'registry' tab that you are more than welcome to contribute to. If you do not have Venmo, feel free to bring cash or check as well.

How do I get to the venue?

From Denver - Take I-70 west bound - Exit 105 at New Castle, CO - North to 4-way stop - Left on Highway Main Street (Highway 6&24) - Right on 7th St. (becomes county road 245 in 0.8 miles) - Continue approximately 4.8 miles on County Road 245 - Take a hard left on County Road 226 (Grass Valley Road) - Continue for 2.9 miles on County Road 226 - At intersection (“Y”) take a left on County Road 237 (Harvey Gap Road) - Continue for 0.8 miles on County Road 237 - Turn Right at Vista View Events! From Grand Junction - Take I-70 east bound - Exit 97 at Silt, CO - Head North to Round-About - Exit west on Main Street (Highway 6&24) - Turn Right on 1st St. - Continue for 1.2 miles on 1st St. - Turn left at intersection (“T”) onto County Road 233 (Silt Mesa Road) - Continue 0.7 miles on County Road 233 - Turn Right onto County Road 237 (Harvey Gap Road) - Continue for 4.4 miles on County Road 237 - Turn Left at Vista View Events!
