35 mins to Dover Hall 15 mins to Downtown Richmond ** Our Recommendation ** Richmond International Aiport (RIC) is the closest major airport to all of the wedding events. If you're only planning to attend the wedding or stay in the Richmond area, it's definitely our top recommendation for travel.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

2 hrs to Dover Hall / Richmond 10 mins to Washington, DC If you'd like to experience Washington, DC before or after the wedding, we recommend flying into DCA, the closest airport to the city. IAD and BWI are also listed as DC airports, but they are ~45 mins to the city. However, please plan ahead, as it will take about 2 hours to drive to Richmond & Dover Hall. We recommend traveling from DC to Richmond by rental car or train (more info below).

If you plan to extend your trip in the Richmond area, we recommend renting a car. Ubers are Lyfts are relatively easy to come by in the Richmond & Short Pump (town by Dover Hall) areas, but could be less predictable when returning from Dover Hall or more rural areas. We will not be offering transportation to Dover Hall for the wedding events. However, we will have shuttles provided for transportation from Dover Hall after the grand exit at 11:00pm to Aloft Hotel & Park Lane Tavern for the after party.

3 hrs from DC to Richmond If you'd like to visit Washington, DC while you're on the east coast, traveling by train is a great option! The Amtrak Northeast Regional stops at both Union Station in the heart of DC and the Main Street Station in downtown Richmond. Ticket prices are very reasonable, currently ranging from $12-24 each way.
