We were 30,000 feet in the air on our way to Las Vegas to celebrate Lauren's 30th birthday when the idea came to us. Wouldn't it be so funny if we got married by Elvis? We were already engaged with plans to elope in Portugal, but we knew that to be legally married we would have to go through a ceremony in the United States. And in that moment, travelling to Vegas to celebrate with our closest pals, the idea just seemed too good to pass up. So we did it! And it was absolutely perfect. Tears were shed, Elvis sang, and memories were made. Our families watched from home through a live stream feed that was accidentally tilted at a 90 degree angle. We were officially married on November 16, 2022.

It was still important that we create a special memory, just the two of us, to honor our relationship and this new chapter in our lives. We spent months planning the perfect experience in Portugal, and brought a talented photo/video team to capture it all. As the sun rose over Ponta do Rosto on the coast of Madeira, we tearfully shared our personal vows with each other. We spent the day chasing the sun and eventually would watch the sun set over the clouds at Pico do Ariero. We are excited to share all the photos and video with everyone at the party!

We wanted to host an event for all of our friends and family that couldn't be with us in person to celebrate our marriage. Though this is not a formal event by any means, we are so excited to get all of our favorite people together! We hope you can join us in all the fun :)
