Of course, we recommend that you try some Mexican food while you're here. If you enjoy festivals, the town will be having Sombrero Festival Thursday through Saturday (which is where you will find the bride and groom on Friday night). If you're looking for something fun but less crowded, our main recommendation is to check out South Padre Island. The water may still be cool, but there are some great beach and bay bars/restaurants with a beautiful view.

We recommend anyone flying in who wishes to head out to the island rent a car due to the 30 mi drive.
