There are times in your life when you have to take risks because you know the reward is worth it. I took that risk when I saw this girl. She was in a crowd, surrounded by people, but I could just tell there was something different about her. She had the sweetest look on her face, and I knew I had to have her. As we got to know each other, I knew I loved her so much that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. She didn’t talk much but that’s okay, she’s good at snuggling. That girl was Dixie. Taylor and I met in an airport in Charlotte. 💁🏻‍♂️

Standing at baggage claim and playing on my phone, a cute guy came up and said “It’s a little late for Christmas, isn’t it?”. I told him that I’d forgotten to bring my Dad’s gifts home so it was a few pairs of Birddogs that he’d been wanting for awhile. When my bag came around the carousel, I said “That’s mine - it was nice to meet you”. He quickly went (as a gentleman) and grabbed it for me. When he came back, we introduced ourselves… then I left. 2 days later, a message pops up in my LinkedIn “How’d your Dad like his presents?” … fast forward several messages later, he asked if I had Instagram so he could ask me something. At this point, I had a feeling he was going to ask me out. To my surprise, when he messaged me on Instagram the message said “So are we going to get married on the East or West Coast?” to which I replied “Marriage huh? We should probably go on a date first” Turns out the answer was: East coast 😄
