Our love story began with my first swipe right on Bumble. As I continued to be intrigued by his love for fish, normally not my thing... But in this moment, I knew I was going to fall for someone who has a heart of gold. From our first date at Olive Garden, where we watched hockey at the bar, our body language toward each other was an instant connection. Through our relationship, we faced many tests of our commitment when I decided to travel around Europe and then Asia. Adam decided to join me in Greece for 2 weeks and then Italy for a few days after only dating for a brief period of time. Some thought we were crazy, but as we traveled, we learned so much about each other and grew stronger. As Adam returned to the states, he realized he was missing me terribly. A leap of faith occurred, and Adam quit his job and was jet-setting to meet me for the last part of my European travels a month later. As we came back from traveling together, I was not finished with exploring the world and was back to traveling but Asia this time! As we navigated the long distance for 2 months while talking a couple of times a day, I knew I had met someone truly special, and he knew I was worth waiting for. Adam picked me up from my trip on April 14th, 2023, and the rest is history!
As Alyssa and I lived together, and our love kept growing, Alyssa was dropping hints and showing me engagement ring photos. We both knew in our hearts that was the next step. I took her suggestion, like any guy should do from his future wife, and found a beautiful ring. Before I made the purchase there was a big step left to do getting her dad’s permission. When Larry and Ronni were in town, I tried my best to find time when Alyssa was not around us (which was nearly impossible). I got Larry's permission and was told there is a no return policy... All jokes aside, that set everything in motion. Once I had the ring, I knew I had to meet certain requirements Alyssa wanted for a proposal. She wanted her parents to be there and have the proposal photographed, for Facebook ;). In talking with Larry, we came up with a perfect scenario when we took a trip to Arizona for Alyssa's birthday. The day of the proposal was a fun but a nervous day, I had a bit of fun with Alyssa trying to throw her off and acting like nothing was happening that day but knowing the whole time our plan for a sunset proposal was in place. As the sunset happened her dad walked her over to a perfect spot in their backyard and I followed them over to the spot and proceeded to forget everything I was going to say, I just managed to say enough and asked Alyssa to marry me and she proceeded to kiss me without saying yes.....but that solidified the answer, SHE SAID YES!!!
