Where is this happening?

Answer

We will board a yacht in Alameda, CA. The ceremony and reception will take place on the yacht and we will cruise around SF bay. After the party, we will be dropped off at the same place we loaded.

How long will we be on the boat and can I get off early?

Answer

The yacht will embark at 05:00pm. We will return to the dock at 10:15pm. There will be no additional stops except for emergency situations.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

There are two no-cost parking lots that are approximately 100 yards from where we will board the boat.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal. See RSVP for more details. October is one of the best sailing months in SF but it can be unpredictable and often windy. We suggest wearing layers and bring sunglasses.

What do I do if I get sea sick?

Answer

Dramamine and Bonine are nausea medications that are sold over the counter. If you are very concerned, you can reach out to your doctor to discuss other prescribed options such as Zofran.

Disability Considerations

Answer

To get to the yacht, there is a ramp that leads to the docks. The yacht is 2 levels. To get to the upper level, you have to go up a staircase that is approximately 15 -20 steps. There is a bathroom on board.

Where should I stay?

Answer

The bride and groom are staying at The Fairmont in SF. Any guests that wish to be close are welcome to stay here. If not, we recommend a hotel or airbnb in Alameda, Berkley or SF.
