Beaumont is a small town, where everyone knows one another. I had seen Anthony from time to time on social media, but never thought anything of it. One day, he hopped into my inbox and spoke. I spoke back and that was that. Then one day a couple weeks later, he asked for my number and I thought, why not. We met up, had lunch, and the rest is history. (I knew when we ate soul food on our first date that he was THE ONE, LOL) We have been inseparable ever since. Amazing how we were right under each other's noses all this time and never crossed paths. Covid was a blessing in ways that we hadn't imagined. We got to REALLY spend quality time together. Everything was shut down, so we were forced to have deep conversations, play games, dance, cook meals, work each other's nerves, and just enjoy each other's company. We thank God for that time. That is when our forever began.....
We didn't get to spend my actual birthday together, so we planned to celebrate the following weekend in Houston. From the moment I arrived, Anthony had everything in order: birthday decorations in the apartment, a homemade pound cake, a brand new watch, and you guessed it-LUNCH (somehow all our memories revolve around food). Needless to say, all of that in itself was enough! He spoiled me rotten! So, we're getting ready for dinner that Saturday night. I'm all in the mirror, I'm dancing, I'm putting on a WHITE dress, not even knowing what was to come. We get to Maestro's and walk in, and as we get closer I see my family and friends all sitting around the table. I was so taken aback I didn't even notice the big lit up letters in the middle of the tablet that read, "MARRY ME!" Sierra was like, "Ummmm TAM!!!" My face lit up and I couldn't believe it. This man just managed to surprise the nosiest person ever. LOL He got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes!!! That was definitely a night to remember! I've never felt so special...
