"In the spring of our sophomore year at Swarthmore we met in a play, performing as very different characters. We ate at Essie Mae's and talked about writing a children's book together. Tamara even wrote one! We then studied abroad and did not see each other for a year until...we got back and caught up!
We went on a date that was not a date to see Ron Pope, cooked, drank Guinness, went on late night walks and eventually become a couple.
We have spent late nights in David's art studio and the library, done ceramics, gone ice skating in the city, gone camping in bear country, driven across the country together, lived long distance from New York to Seattle, then together through a pandemic. We have taken chances, gone on adventures, and made the most of everything
And now we are here. I have loved writing these chapters of my life with you. Will you write the rest of this book with me? Tamara, Will you marry me?" ... David spent the summer bookbinding, and made a beautiful book that he gave me the first morning of our trip to Hawaii. He wrote our story in it, and now we've just shared it with you! We're so happy you're joining us as we start our next chapter.
