Things To Do

We're so excited for you taste of our little slice of heaven! You can expect sunny California weather during the day but in the mornings and after sunset, it can get chilly (even by Midwest standards).
Lido Marina Village

Lido Marina Village

3434 Via Lido, Newport Beach, CA 92663

This is a staple outdoor dining and shopping development located on Newport Harbor. We walk there often for weekend brunch with our dog, Lucky. Our favorite restaurants are Zinque, Malibu Farms, and Bear Flag. Zinque and Malibu farms have great menus and one of a kind harbor views.

Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach

Broadway St & Pacific Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Spend the day here and enjoy the iconic backdrop. Walk around Main Beach and stop into art galleries. Visit Hotel Laguna for a nice drink and cliffside views.

Fashion Island

Fashion Island

401 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660

The local outdoor Irvine Company mall that we enjoy shopping and eating at. The retail lineup is strong and there are ocean views to enjoy while you browse around.

Balboa Island

Balboa Island

318 Marine Ave, Newport Beach, CA 92663

Get a frozen chocolate covered banana from "Dad's" and walk around this historic island. Louis' mother especially loves Wilma's Patio for brunch. You can take the Ferry across the water to the peninsula.

Lido Marina Village Electric Boat Rentals

Lido Marina Village Electric Boat Rentals

3424 Via Oporto, Newport Beach, CA 92663
, (949) 612-8248

This is a staple Newport activity that allows 10-12 people to rent an electric Duffy boat. There's plenty of colors to choose from in their fleet. BYOB, bring some snacks, and queue up a playlist for a great time.

Newport Harbor Paddle Boarding

Newport Harbor Paddle Boarding

2000 W Balboa Blvd STE C, Newport Beach, CA 92663
, (949) 200-0500

Paddle boarding in the harbor is an easy and fun way to get out on the water (for all skill levels). Paddle around the harbor and enjoy a different viewpoint of the boats and houses on the water.

The Wedge

The Wedge

This is a legendary surf spot that locals flock to for some of the biggest waves in Southern California. Take a bike down Balboa Blvd. all the way to the end of the peninsula, there's a small park called the west getty view park just in front of "The Wedge".

Inspiration Point

Inspiration Point

In Corona Del Mar, this viewpoint is one of the most popular places to watch the sunset. Also has access to Corona Del Mar beach below it, a great place to take an afternoon walk.

For all the days along the way
