Maid of Honor
Mirelle met Paige (or Jumanji as some know her) their freshman year after the two joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison Marching Band. Both were trumpet converts (Mirelle a clarinet and Paige a saxophone) and became close friends when they were placed in the same rank during their sophomore year. Their senior year, they became roommates and spent many evenings watching 'Say Yes to the Dress', eating Babcock ice cream at Union Terrace, and discussing their love of Trader Joe's. They also spent time paddling and portaging through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and can't wait to plan more adventures together. Although post-college years have taken them to different cities and states, they have stayed best friends and still love catching up and watching rom-coms via Zoom and visiting each other in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Best Man
Alex is Liam's older brother. Growing up, Liam thought everything his elder sibling did was the epitome of cool. Alex, devious bastard that he was, often capitalized on this, persuading Liam to act as his scapegoat or alibi whenever he'd get into trouble. Despite their playful childhood antics – including an incident where Alex hung a three-year-old Liam by his underwear from a doorknob, and left behind scars (both physical and emotional) that still linger – their bond has remained strong. As they've matured, they've remained close confidants, frequently discussing their favorite TV shows, games, family matters, and all the odds and ends of life. Over the years, Alex has consistently been Liam's embodiment of what a good man should be. Beyond their brotherly bond, Alex, along with his wife Sarah, are the doting parents of Elliott and Eloise, Liam and Paige's much-loved niece and nephew.
Bridesmaid
Paige met Megan in 6th grade when she joined St. Matthew's Catholic Parish and School. The two spent many weekends having dance parties, baking cookies, going to bible study, and making many shopping trips to the mall. They stayed friends even though they went to different high schools, and Paige was even Megan's date to her senior prom! Their mutual love for travel led them to take their first solo trip together for a weekend in Chicago where they very proudly took the train and miraculously did not get lost (pre-smartphones). Letter writing and long phone calls got them through college at different schools. Although the drive between Madison and La Crosse, distance couldn't keep them apart and the two visited each other often. They enjoy meeting up in their hometown for holidays and visiting each other for relaxing weekends filled with hikes, yoga, and sitting on the couch drinking wine. Paige describes Megan as her "oldest, bestest, friend."
Groomsman
Liam and Ted met in elementary school and grew up together in Madison. A shared love of music brought them closer together as the two would go on to form a number of bands in middle and high school. The two attended college together, worked together, hosted a radio show together and lived together for enough years that it could have formed a legal basis for common law marriage in seven US states. Ted lived with Liam in the early days of the couple's relationship and even helped make one of their early dates possible. Ted offered to loan his car so that Liam could drive an hour and a half to meet Paige for a movie date. Ted and Paige have become good friends since and the trio thoroughly enjoys globetrotting adventures, their most recent being an exciting trip to Morocco.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and Paige met their freshman year in high school. Although Hannah didn't join Paige in playing in band, Hannah was considered her "honorary best band friend". The two enjoyed working on the set design for theater projects, joining fencing club, and eating lunch together every day. Hannah visited UW-Madison several times and Paige celebrated Michigan Tech's Winter Carnival where they walked until their toes were numb to view the ice sculptures. The two always managed to meet up in their Green Bay hometown over holiday breaks and it feels like no time has passed since they were getting ready for prom in Hannah's basement. Although moving to different states has meant they don't see each other as often as they'd like, Hannah and Paige still love getting together for coffee over Zoom to catch up and stay close.
Groomsman
Pratap and Liam first crossed paths in college when Pratap resided just a floor above Liam. Their bond strengthened through devouring delectable pies at Hoosier Mama, enduring marathon sessions of Civilization, playing an array of board games, and passionately geeking out over music. A particularly memorable highlight of their friendship was an adventurous RV journey along the West Coast, a fitting farewell adventure before Pratap relocated to New York. Regardless of the distance separating them, their steadfast friendship continues to thrive. Pratap is not only a loyal friend and compassionate individual but also boasts a truly enviable head of hair. A 10/10 certified sweetheart.
Officiant
Cosmo, one of Liam's most enduring friends, has shared in a multitude of Liam's life chapters since their adolescence. Their friendship stretches back to late-night theater rehearsals, band practices, camping escapades, sleepovers sprawled out on Liam's dad's living room floor, and heartfelt car ride conversations about feelings, girls, and melancholic song lyrics. This deep-rooted bond from high school remains unbroken to this day. When Paige entered Liam's life, Cosmo seamlessly formed a strong connection with her as well, marking the start of another cherished friendship. Given Cosmo's unique relationship with both the bride and groom, and his knack for blending thoughtfulness with humor (plus, he kindly offered to officiate the ceremony gratis), the choice was clear. It was never a question that anyone but Cosmo would be the one to usher Liam and Paige into their marital journey, a testament to the enduring friendships that have accompanied them thus far.
