Matt was directly exposed 8 days before the ceremony. Though we initially tested negative, we did not want to potentially expose anyone and hopefully let everyone know in time to cancel any reservations etc. It was a super hard decision and we appreciated everyone's understanding.
After we tested negative two times, we felt comfortable enough to move forward, our officiant was still willing to come, and our immediate family and witnesses were comfortable enough to participate. Though we cancelled venue, food, flowers, etc., we had a small wedding ceremony impromptu at my parents' home outdoors.
We have been super busy! Matt got transferred to Helena, we purchased a home and moved from Bozeman October 2020. From day one when we had to cancel, we planned to have our reception when everyone could get together, and now that we are settled, it is a good time.
Well, anything could happen, but we have confidence that our re-scheduled date is good timing. If there is exposure we will notify, but we are not cancelling again. You will be able to choose what is best for you, and we will understand.
Yes, wear a mask if you want. If you've been exposed within 10 days, please use discretion; either do not come, or pre-test and keep your distance! We will have hand sanitizer and feel free to bring your own.
Yes! We cut our photographer's time short during the ceremony because I wanted pictures of our loved ones gathered together!
It's one of the things we love to do! Outdoors is better for covid as well. We are also hoping some of you will make a family trip out of it and spend some time there with us! As noted, be sure to get your reservations sooner than later, but there are a lot of campgrounds and marinas around the lake, you should be able to find a spot and if you don't camp there are a variety of other lodging options.
Doesn't matter, be prepared for what is forecast. Usually that time of year if there is a storm, it will come in the later afternoon.
