Matron of Honor
My older sister who has stood by my side since day one. I am so lucky that life gave me her as a best friend (and that she is stuck with me no matter what). And now that she has finally moved back to Chicago (part time), someone I can always count on to grab a drink (or two) and chat about life with.
Maid of Honor
We were destined to be best friends when we were scheduled in every single class together senior year of high school. Now we live less than a mile from each other in Chicago (soon to be a few blocks) and spend way too much time together, even if it is just laying on the couch sending instagrams to each other. A sign of a true best friend.
Bridesmaid
My freshman year random roommate from Marquette who has become a life long friend. There is never a dull moment with someone like Carrie in your life. She has brought so much joy and laughter into my life from the first moment I met her (when I had to awkwardly untie her purse from her shirt).
Bridesmaid
Kim is the true MVP of our wedding - our matchmaker. We were on the same floor of McCormick dorm at Marquette freshman year and have been friends ever since. Too many fun memories (and adult beverages) together to count. Kim's daughter, Tessa, will be our flower girl (the cutest little flower girl there ever was).
Bridesmaid
I also met Kelly freshman year on the 10th floor of McCormick dorm at Marquette. If you don't count the time Kim and her ended up at the same Corner Bakery in Chicago just after we became Facebook friends. Kelly is someone you can always count on, especially to have snacks/candy in her purse and/or pocket at the bar (or anywhere). Kelly's son, Cooper, will be our handsome little ring bearer.
Bridesmaid
Erin and I met in high school. We became really good friends after having to work on a group project together (that took many hours, but also brought so many laughs and a life long friendship). Erin brings so much adventure, knowledge, and energy to my life. I can always count on her to bring lots of excitement and spontaneity into my life.
Best Man
It all started in second grade, I first met Joey at St. Johns and our friendship took off from there. From hiding liqour bottles in bathroom ceilings to travling all over Ireland together. Joey has always been by my side through everything and continues to be there through all the life changes that have come and will continue to come. I couldn't think of any other friend to stand by my side and be my best man.

What can be said about having your sister standing up at your wedding? Well let's just say five year old me would have laughed at the thought. We may have started off as siblings who sought a scratch or a slap but that's changed into a cheers and laughs (with plenty of beer). Besides the beer though, Les has become someone I can always count on for elderly advice and a good slap on the head when I'm being a dumb younger brother.
Groomsman
Walter didn't cross my path until Lumen, and didn't really cross my path until college. Well then it just went all down hill from there. From eating pizzas in my parents basement at 3am after walking home from town bar, driving to visit all of our friends and then our final demise at Grand Valley. Walter also has been a travel friend and someone I can always count on for anything. Well except being a Red Wings fan...
Groomsman
I first met Heath when I was on one of my first night shifts as a nurse, then he left for Australia. When he came back, along with Erin, the three of us became roommates and the debauchery ensued as should a house of three nurses. With the debauchery, a life long friendship also evolved mostly around cheap beer, dive bars and hating the Cubs (we lived in Wrigleyville).

I first met Jess when I showed up the first day of nursing school with blood dripping down my face and needing eight stitches. After that, it was the back row of all of our nursing classes, drinking games during the Olympics and then off to Chicago for our first nursing jobs. Living in a complete dump of a place with a weird lower neighbor (he was in a clown rock band or something), we learned to be nurses and built a life long friendship, that now transverses country lines!
Officiant
Airick is Emily's Brother in Law and Steve's soon to be Brother in Law. Airick is the brother both of us never knew we needed. He challenges us in the best ways and provides us so much support as a couple since the very beginning. We can always count on Airick to ask inquisitive (and hilarious) questions, provide us with lots of knowledge (mainly things that we know nothing about as health care workers), and cook us delicious vegan meals (sorry our wedding is at a chicken place LOL).
