His version: After a workout, my friend and I would go to Bareburger as our weekly cheat meal. On this certain day I happen to see a beautiful girl sitting with her Asian friend (I thought they were on a date initially!!). I noticed she had Zulu bracelets on and I was already interested in people from South Africa so I went and introduced myself. As my friend and I were leaving, we tried the whole distract the friend while I talk to her strategy, but we ended up all just having a decent conversation. Upon leaving I asked for her Instagram, DMed her the same night, the rest was history. Her version: I was having dinner with my colleague at Bareburger, this was during Covid, so it was outside dining. I wanted to dine at a table that had a shade/cover, so while the waitress was wiping the table that had a shade, these two guys wearing BLACK came and actually got that table. The table was not far from where we were sitting but I actually did not give any attention to those two guys until they approach us. Steph asked me about my bracelets and if I was from South Africa. We briefly spoke about that and his friend was from Kenya, so we spoke about Africa etc. They went back to their table and when they were leaving they came back to our table, I remember Steph asking me for my instagram name, he sent me a follow request and sent me a DM that night, but since I was playing hard to get, I only responded to his DM the next day at night and here we are today!!!!
His version: I took her to a surprise pop up “pic-nic” at Central Park for her birthday. We went home and I proposed in the living room. We went out to celebrate after. Her version: It was my birthday, he spoiled me throughout the day and when we got home, while sitting on the couch, he gave a whole speech (lol) and then got on one knee.
His version: She did. Her version: I did. We were watching a movie/series and I just turned to him and told him how I feel.
