Things to do

The Wedding Website of Stephanie Riesco and Sam Goldner
There's so much to do in Portland it's going to be hard to decide, but here are some of our favorite things. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Blue Star Donuts

Blue Star Donuts

3753 N Mississippi Ave., Portland, OR 97277

Portland is to donuts what Seattle is to coffee. And though you may be more familiar with Voodoo Donuts, we highly recommend checking out Blue Star! It's a brioche donut bakery featuring creative flavors and organic, locally-sourced ingredients.

Breweries

Breweries

From sours and ciders to microbrews, you'll find the best in Portland. A list of great taprooms to check out!

Food Trucks & Restaurants

Food Trucks & Restaurants

Portland’s food scene is amazing—here are some great trucks to try if you need a quick bite! Some of our favorite restaurants include Eem, Canard (sister cafe to the also incredible Le Pigeon), Gado Gado and Ken's Artisan Pizza (voted best in the country).

Forest Park

Forest Park

Right in the heart of Portland, take a quick hike in Forest Park and immerse yourself in the lush serenity of the PNW. The largest urban forest in the county with over 80 miles of trails on the west side.

Portland Japanese Garden

Portland Japanese Garden

611 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Beautiful place to relax! Enjoy many garden styles in this serene 5.5-acre space with a waterfall, teahouse and mountain view.

International Rose Test Garden

International Rose Test Garden

400 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Founded in 1917, the oldest official continuously operated public rose test garden in the U.S. It features over 10,000 roses and stunning views of downtown.

Mount Hood & Mount St. Helens

Mount Hood & Mount St. Helens

We're an hour away from two active volcanos: Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens. To enjoy the beauty of the PNW, we suggest driving down Hwy 84E and stopping at waterfalls (there are more than 10 on your way). Or take the Fruit Loop from Hood River, stopping at farm stands to pick flowers/berries or grab a cider with a stunning view of Mt. Hood and the Gorge.

Willamette Valley Wine Country

Willamette Valley Wine Country

The Willamette Valley is the fastest growing wine center in the world earning top awards for their famous Pinot Noirs. Spend an afternoon wine tasting and enjoy the gorgeous valley and food of the PNW. About 40 minutes west of the Goldner's home, a quick drive.

The Columbia River Gorge

The Columbia River Gorge

A 45 minute drive to the Vista House will take you to the most spectacular view of the Columbia River Gorge. Stop to visit Multnomah Falls nearby or keep going to Hood River to watch the wind surfers at Freim Brewers.
