How did you meet?

(Steph) My friend Rory met Pete at a bar and forced him to take me out on a blind date for drinks. And she's so terrifying that we both decided it was in our best interest to meet so we didn't face her wrath. We met the next night for drinks at a bar in town - turns out we were literally neighbors. It became the spot for many of our "first dates" because Pete refused to take me on a real date until he "was sure". (Pete) In my defense, dating is extremely expensive in LA and Steph didn't seem the least bit interested 3 dates in.

How did you know that "This is THE ONE"?

(Steph) We were at my brother's wedding and it was out first time travelling together and really the first time he'd spent a lot of time with my family. We had a great time at the rehearsal dinner (e.g. I had way too many vodka sodas) and Pete had to wake me up in the morning to get me on the bus so I could get out to the venue to get my hair and make-up done. He made me get up, got me iced tea and literally carried me to the van and set me inside. That's when I knew he was a real keeper. But I knew he was the one when after hours of getting ready and taking a million photos I came up from the "staging" area and he was standing at the end of the path with a drink for me - that's when I knew he was the one. (Pete) She likes my sausage rolls. I sort of knew on the first date as I told her things that I hadn't even told my family and she just seemed to laugh and take it in her stride. I had never felt that trust and comfort before. It took her a couple of times to break up with me and test that I was the one, but I really knew when I spent the weekend at her brother's wedding and just loved every second of meeting her family, friends and realizing that maybe I'm not so crazy myself!

How did Pete propose? When, where, how?

I'm taking over and writing this part ... (Pete) I hadn't seen my parents for 6 years and they were visiting so we planned a trip to NYC with Steph and her parents, as we had a previous trip there in the winter the year before. We had walked over the Brooklyn Bridge on the first trip in the windiest and coldest conditions, a penguin would of struggled to make the crossing. So when we went in September I told both sets of parents we would walk over the bridge and i would propose, knowing that Steph wanted to plan the whole trip and couldn't believe we had to walk over " that darn bridge" again! We set off in the morning, I put a nice shirt on which was swiftly greeted with "why are you dressed up so nice!", so I quickly changed and off we went.... Knowing we were expecting I had created a baby book that told the story of me and Steph, with pictures of both of us the past 2 years and somehow making it rhyme the whole way through. The last page was the big build up that led to me asking Steph to marry me. So it was all on Steph reading the book on the bridge, but little did I know that every bench on the Brooklyn bridge would be occupied with people selling mini statue of liberty and I heart NYC hats!!! I managed to find a free bench before we hit the streets of New York again to which I asked Steph to sit down and she refused!!! After convincing her she needed to sit down, she finally sat and read the book to which I got down on one knee in front of a lot of pissed off people trying to get past and asked her to be my partner for life. (now Steph) I was so shocked by everything going on that I forgot to answer his proposal, so he had to ask again "so will you". And then I finally responded, "obviously yes".

For all the days along the way
