For those of us who love the game, Ko Olina and the vicinity is home to some of our favorite (publicly accessible) courses. Below is a shortlist of recommendations with some "Pro Tips" within a reasonable driving distance.
#1 Ko Olina Golf Club (5 min walk)
Pro Tip: Play afternoon as "Twilight" rates begin at 1:00PM, pace of play improves, and happy hour at Roy's (best 19th hole) will be in full swing by finish.
#2 Kapolei Golf Club (12 min drive)
Pro Tip: Same designer as Sahalee, so bring extra balls, its challenging but great experience.
#3 Royal Kunia Country Club (15 min drive)
Pro Tip: Don't be turned off by the clubhouse that feels like a muni in rural Eastern WA. Awesome course with views of Pearl Harbor and great value.
#4 Royal Hawaiian Golf Club (45 min drive)
Pro Tip: The locals call it Jurassic Park for a reason. A true experience.
#5 Waikele Country Club (15 min drive)
Pro Tip: Another great option for quality and value, with twilight rates starting at 11:00AM.
