Is altitude sickness real? How do I prevent that from happening?

Yes--it is most definitely real! The elevation of Buena Vista, Colorado is 7,965 feet. For reference, the average elevation of Wisconsin is ~1,265 feet. The symptoms of altitude sickness mimic the symptoms of a hangover (which may be a bit tricky to distinguish during this weekend): headache, dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. The best way to prevent altitude sickness is to drink plenty of water and electrolytes prior to and during your trip to Colorado. We also recommend getting to Colorado prior to the wedding weekend in order to help your body acclimate before the big day!

Yes, there is on site parking available at The Barn at Sunset Ranch.

No, you will be responsible for getting yourself to and from the wedding venue safely.
