At Nakoma, there are 8 miles of trails that provide access to the Feather River or beautiful vistas overlooking the community. The Nakoma system also features an Interpretive Trail where 27 native trees and plants are identified. Nearby you can visit Plumas Hike (variety), Bear Lake Loop (2.5 mi), Mt. Elwell (7.5 mi), and Sierra Buttes Fire Lookout (4.5 mi).
