Flight Options

There are a couple airport options for our out of town guests! We recommend flying into Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) and either renting a car or booking a shuttle to Telluride. It is roughly a 45-minute drive. Montrose offers flights from United, American, Southwest, and Delta. Another option is to fly into Telluride Regional Airport (KTEX). Flights are a little more limited and more expensive, but you will be just minutes from downtown. You can also fly directly to Denver International Airport (DEN) and drive to Telluride, which takes about 8 hours.

Accommodations

Telluride is small and the fall is a busy time to visit, so we recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible. There are three areas of town that you can stay in: - Telluride: this will be the closest to the wedding venue, but all three options are easy to get around with or without a car! - Mountain Village (ski area): only a single gondola ride away from Telluride, this is where the biggest hotels are located. - Mountain Village: connected to Telluride by two free gondolas. Many AirBnB and VRBO options. Free shuttles will pick you up from your rental home and take you to the gondola. We don’t recommend staying in any areas further out, as Telluride is a remote area and we don’t want our guests driving long distances after the reception. If you want to book an AirBnB or VRBO, we recommend finding one that you like and then looking up the property to see if you can book with them directly to save on the additional fees! We also recommend looking for vacation rentals through Latitude 38 or Exceptional Stays. If you are looking to share a rental house with other guests, let us know and we can help coordinate!

Getting Around Town

Telluride is very accessible once you get there! A free gondola connects all three areas (downtown Telluride, the ski village, and Mountain Village). If you are in downtown Telluride you can walk the whole town! There is also a free town bus called the Galloping Goose if you would prefer to not walk the whole way. Galloping Goose map and schedule attached below (Click “View”) If you are in the ski village, you can walk to all the hotels and restaurants from the gondola station. If you are in Mountain Village, there is a free shuttle that you can call to pick you up from your house and take you to the gondola station and grocery store (Tips for the drivers are appreciated!). The gondola runs from 6:30 am to 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights. 6:30 am to midnight all other days of the week.

Shuttle to the Ceremony/Reception

Town Park Address: 500 East Colorado Avenue Telluride, CO 81435 Both the wedding ceremony and reception will take place at a private home. There is not room for any guest vehicles at the home, so we have arranged for shuttles to pick up and drop off from downtown Telluride. The shuttle stop will be located at the Telluride Town Park. Shuttle service will begin at 3:45 PM and run until 4:00 PM for transfer up to the house. Please do not be late, as no shuttles will run after 4:00 PM as to not disrupt the ceremony.
