Travel & Places To Stay

The Wedding Website of Lindsay Stahl and Scott Booth
We chose Tamarindo, Costa Rica for our love for traveling and how safe, friendly & absolutely beautiful it is there. Costa Rica is also very easy to navigate and travel around. We will also have an open door policy at our house, Casa Colina del Mar, for everyone to come and enjoy the pool and our Tamarindo views throughout our stay. *Below is everything you need to know about travel and lodging.

Travel Note

Wedding Location

Our wedding and reception will be at Pangas Beach Club.

Travel Note

PASSPORT

Yes, you will need a passport when traveling to Costa Rica. You can renew them online. *Also it is important to make a copy of your passport photo and entry date, once arriving in Costa Rica. (Can just take a picture of them on your phone). Once you arrive at your hotel/lodging just lock your passports up and carry the copies.

Flight

Liberia International Airport

Costa Rica has two main airports. We will be flying into Liberia, Costa Rica airport code LIR. From there it is only a 45 min drive to Tamarindo. *See car rental & shuttle info. *Southwest has recently released flights through August to this destination from most major cities at reasonable prices. *Alaska Airlines has a credit card offering buy 1 get 1 free flights (+taxes) every year.

Rental Car

Costa Rica

Unless you want to explore other areas of Costa Rica we recommend just taking the shuttles/taxi’s to and from the airport that can be easily accessed at the airport. Also depending on where you stay, some hotels can also arrange a shuttle service for you and a lot of the excursions will arrange transportation for you as well. Before renting a car, check with your credit card provider to see if you have coverage/insurance with them. Get the insurance the rental company offers. There are many things that can happen in Costa Rica, not all the roads are paved and driving there is not like the United States. *If you are pulled over by a Police Officer, take the ticket. It is better to deal with the rental company.
