Franklin Jeffers

Groom

Stacey Holloway

Bride

Alexandra Weaver

Best Human

Franklin met Alexandria shortly after moving to Alabama from the West Coast. Stacey introduced them on their first official date at an iron pour at Sloss. Alexandria mentored Franklin and assisted him in completing his first pour. Since then, they have developed a close friendship and continue collaborating within their respective art practices.

Emily Caenepeel

Maid of Honor

Emily and Stacey met in undergrad in 2003 at Herron School of Art and Design while they both pursued a degree in art. They became roommates and best friends. Emily means the WORLD to Stacey and they both look forward to growing into old cranky women together.

Ian Skinner

Groomsman

Ian is undeniably a genuine and kind person. Upon meeting, Franklin and Ian quickly became close friends. Furthermore, Ian has been an exceptional mentor to Franklin within the Iron community, consistently offering guidance, words of wisdom, and innovative problem-solving approaches whenever Franklin has needed support.

Sarah Heath

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Stacey met in 2013 when Stacey first moved to Birmingham AL to teach at UAB. Sarah and Stacey became amazing friends and are sisters from other misters.

Hugh Patton

Groomsman

Hugh embodies exceptional compassion, making him a remarkable individual to encounter. His innovative nature shines through and consistently brings enthusiastic energy to his art and the pour floor. Hugh has seamlessly integrated himself into Franklin's personal and professional life, establishing a close and trustworthy bond as a confidant and collaborator.

Miranda Kyle

Bridesmaid

Miranda and Stacey met in 2017 as they both served on the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices steering committee and became wonderful friends. Miranda keeps Stacey in check but also embraces her feralness.

Ajene Williams

Groomsman

Ajene consistently brightens our days with a warm smile and heartfelt encouragement. Their unwavering passion and tireless work ethic inspire everyone around them. Ajene's willingness to share their vast knowledge and expertise is truly admirable. Franklin feels incredibly privileged to have Ajene as a friend.

Joszlyn Drews

Bridesmaid

Joszlyn is Stacey’s niece and has become one of Stacey’s best friends. Stacey has watched her niece blossom into a beautiful, smart young woman with a lovely family. Joszlyn keeps Stacey updated on how to work electronics and on fashion 😂

Martha Jeffers

Mother of the Groom

Franklin's mother, Martha, has been his best friend and confidante for as long as they can remember. Martha has always supported Franklin throughout his life and journeys, offering a listening ear and solid advice on which paths to take. From an early age, Martha instilled in Franklin a love for the arts and self-expression. She continues to create in her artistic practice while learning new skills

Shelley Hazzard

Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaid

Stacey’s mom, Shelley is one of the most caring, loving, supportive, and motivating people you’ll ever meet. Stacey has looked up to her mom her whole life and they are the bestest of friends. There’s nothing like “(thrift) shopping with Shelley!”

Michael Hazzard

Father of the Bride

Stacey’s dad, Mike (Hazz), is one of the most wonderful, supportive people in her life. Even though he doesn’t always understand her art and goals, he loves and supports her in all her endeavors. He is always there for Stacey and told Franklin to RUN!

Jacob Phillips

Flower Gay

Jacob was once a bright young freshman student of Stacey’s in 2013 at UAB and she recognized his potential right away! He began working as her studio assistant and they became fast friends during their many “art adventures” together. Jacob, now a professional artist and professor, continues to impress Stacey and refers to him as her “art baby.”

Daisy

Flower Girl

Daisy is… well… absolutely amazing! With her crazy energy, snorkel noises, and nuzzled cuddles, Franklin and Stacey couldn’t ask for a better companion

Devin Antus

Usher

Devin is Stacey’s nephew and has almost been like the little brother she never had. Stacey has watched her nephew grow into a strong, bright young man with a wonderful sense of humor. Devin and Stacey share a deep love for horror and thriller movies, which they have spent many nights bonding over.

Torc Stewart

Officiant

Torc has become a wonderful friend of Stacey and Franklin over the years. They continue to foster and spark creativity throughout our friendship and have agreed to officiate us on our special day.

Virginia Elliott

Wedding Planner

Virginia has been a very good friend to Stacey and Franklin for a few years now (and easily one of Daisy’s favorite humans). As the Sloss Metal Arts director, “V” has a wonderful ability to solve problems and bring people together during special events. We are so happy that we get to plan this special day with all her innovative direction.

Marnie Hill

Wedding Planner

Marnie has been an absolute delight since Stacey met her a few years ago. She always has a smile on her face and always offers her assistance. With her amazing engineering brain, Stacey and Franklin are so honored to get her assistance and insight (and the new baby’s) with our special day planning.

For all the days along the way
