Not at all! Wear what is comfortable to you. And please remember that this will take place in a historical iron casting shed, so we would suggest against wearing nice shoes or super long dresses (as we don’t want you to ruin your nice attire).
Absolutely, but please RSVP with the total number of people you are bringing so we can make sure that we have enough food and scratch blocks for everyone.

Yes, the site has a large parking lot next to the casting shed and visitors center and additional parking is available under the viaduct.

Throughout the wedding reception, the amazing Sloss Metal Arts crew will be using a traditional furnace to melt iron that will be poured into resin bonded sand scratch blocks that YOU create. Each sand block is blank and you can scratch in a design of your choosing. Once poured in iron and cooled, you can take this back home with you. Depending on your design, the scratch block will probably end up being about 1-2 lbs of iron and approximately 5”x5” in size each, so if you are not sure if it will fit in your suitcase if you are flying, we can make arrangements to get it to you afterwards.
