Our story begins on New Years Eve of 2021. Charlie was visiting from his home in Denver, Colorado, and we met through mutual friends a week prior. We went on our first date in the morning. After our planned date, an interactive Van Gogh exhibit finished, we desperately tried to find some excuse to prolong the day until we settled on wandering around forest park all day. Talking to each other was so easy it was as if we had known each other for years. I knew I had to see Charlie again, so I traveled to Denver in January of 2022 to spend a weekend with him. This would be the first of many trips to Denver that I would make in the first 4 months of 2022 eagerly trying to distract Charlie from his tax season work. We both knew that we wanted to be together and for the next 2 and half years of a long-distance relationship we took every opportunity to meet each other in St. Louis and in Denver. The rest is history. We bonded over our love of history/art, ping pong, going to breweries, puzzles, wine nights, and spontaneous dates. It has been an adventure, and we would not change any part of it. On October 17th of 2023, Charlie took me to Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO at the base of the mountains, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said Yes! We are so happy to get married surrounded by our friends and family. Thank you to our family for all their love and support.
