University of Notre Dame
Take a tour of the historic and scenic University of Notre Dame! Some places to check out include the main building which has the famous gold-plated dome, the sister lakes that provide nature trails and in November beautiful fall colors, and of course the football stadium.
Studebaker National Museum
The Studebaker National Museum offers a glimpse back into the history of this South Bend automobile manufacturer. An extensive collection of carriages, electric car models, WWI and WWII vehicles, and classic cars from the 50s and 60s built by Studebaker grace the interior of this multi-story museum. This exterior of the building features a design that matches the architectural style of most Studebaker factory buildings in the area.
Iechyd Da Brewing Company
Welsh toast pronounced Yah-key-da, meaning “Good Health”. Handcrafted brews pizza and sandwiches in downtown Elkhart. Adam's family loves this place, and Julia learned to love it too!
IRONHAND Wine Bar
The only production vineyard in St. Joseph County, the wine bar is located on the St. Joseph River just south of downtown South Bend.
The Indiana Whiskey Company
Local distillery, with the goal of sourcing everything possible from Indiana producers. Their whiskeys are a testament to what they love about the Hoosier State.
Jackson's Cigars & Spirits
A cozy cigar and cocktail bar in Mishawaka (town right next to South Bend) that we like to frequent for cigars (Adam) and cocktails (Julia).
Fiddler's Hearth
Classic Irish pub fare (fish & chips is THE best!), proper pints & premium scotches in a cozy old-world setting with live music almost every night.
Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar
Serves authentic Latin cuisine influenced by our own culinary travels south of the border from Mexico to the southern tip of Argentina. A favorite of ours, and the best margaritas in town!
