Leah is Chelsie’s best friend and line sister. Leah met up at UofL after finding each other on twitter and meeting at the SAC! They immediately clicked, and became quick friends. In 2013, they joined AKA together and their friendship evolved into a lifelong sisterhood. Leah has been one of Chelsie’s biggest cheerleaders and is a straight shooter who always gives the most real and best advice. Shavonna is Chelsie’s older cousin and role model. Ever since Chelsie was a child Shavonna has been someone she looks to as a friend and advisor. As they have gotten older their bond has only grown stronger and they’ve been able to share pivotal moments of their lives together such as Shavonna’s marriage and Chelsie’s graduation. Chelsie can’t wait to get married with her favorite cousin by her side!

Kharmen is SP’s sister and Chelsie’s sister in AKA. Chelsie looks up to Kharmen in many different aspects and is grateful for how Kharmen welcomed her into their family. Chelsie couldn’t imagine getting married without such a special person in both of their lives.

Ashley is one of Chelsie’s best friends and fellow activist. Chelsie admires the love, strength and resilience that Ashley embodies daily as a nurse, mother and activist. Ashley and Chelsie met during a protest that Chelsie organized and the rest is history. Ashley is one of those women that will drop everything for her friends and Chelsie is forever grateful that their community brought them together!

JaLisha is Chelsie’s friend, line sister and own personal comedian. JaLisha is by far the funniest person that Chelsie knows and it was through that humor that they became quick friends. KyMara is Chelsie’s friend and former Mississippi roommate. They met while being placed to room together in the Mississippi Delta while they were in Teach For America together, however it was over a year later when their friendship and sisterhood started to bloom. It was a trip to Atlanta that solidified their forever friendship and KyMara has served as Chelsie’s voice it reason ever sense. KyMara is one of SP & Chelsie’s biggest fans and they are thrilled to have such a supporter in their wedding and through their marriage. #TheOtherMsG
