Our Story
How We Met
I signed up to play football with a group of friends. Thinking the intake form would go to a friend, I said, “I want to be The Bachelorette on the field.” Turns out the captain was not my friend but some guy named Justin. Even though I was embarrassed, we had a blast playing together. So much so that we signed up for softball in spring of 2020. As you can imagine, it was a while before we were able to play, but when we did, it took three whole games (and many home runs) before Justin FINALLY asked me out. (emily’s version)
In fall of 2019, I captained a football team where I met Emily and her friends. My friends and I loved playing with them (when Boston College wasn’t playing at home and they actually came) so much that we decided to play softball together in spring of 2020. We all know what happened then. When we were finally able to play, in an effort to impress Emily, I hit several home runs before asking her out. I didn’t hit another one after that. Justin asked Emily to officially be his girlfriend after about a month of dating.
FEBRUARY 28, 2021 What better way to really get to know a new partner than travel across the country with them?! During our 2 month cross-country road trip, we hit 15 national parks!
SEPTEMBER 12, 2021 Emily and Justin celebrated their 1st anniversary in downtown Boston.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2022 Emily and Justin celebrated their 2nd anniversary in New Haven, CT.
OCTOBER 16, 2022 After living together in CT for a while, we decided to make it official and become domestic partners.
APRIL 02, 2023 We moved back to our favorite city in our first apartment together!
JUNE 28, 2023 Justin popped the question at Chateau sur Loire in France!
JULY 15, 2023 We added a fur child to our family! Isn't Cappy the cutest?!
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 Emily and Justin celebrated with 3rd anniversary in Boston. See if you can spot the Maid of Honor bribing Cappy.
FEBRUARY 24, 2024 Emily and Justin celebrated their engagement in downtown Boston.
JULY 2024 Emily and Justin took engagement photos in Beacon Hill and, of course, Cappy had to be included. This is their favorite family photo!
SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 Emily and Justin celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Rochambeau in Boston followed by lots of wedding prep!
SEPTEMBER 20, 2024 Emily and Justin celebrated the one year countdown at Lord Thompson Manor.
