Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Of course! We love you and we love your kids. We actually encourage you bringing your kids to celebrate with us. We only ask that they do not run around during special moments like the ceremony, our first dance, the speeches, etc.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

No, there will not be alcohol. We are choosing to have a dry wedding. Please do not bring your own alcohol as it is not allowed at the venue, nor do we want alcohol present for our wedding.

How should I RSVP?

Answer

There is a link on your invitation that will take you to a section of this website where you will be able to search your name and RSVP online. There will be no way to mail your RSVP so please do not send it!

We ask that you RSVP online by June 1st.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Answer

When you arrive at Church On Main park at the entrance closest to the Golden Krust restaurant on Church Street. You will see signs outside the entrance and again once you enter. Follow the signs up the stairs and enter the sanctuary through the double doors at the top of the stairs on your right.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, it is! There are ramps as well as elevators.

Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

During the ceremony we ask that you keep your phone in your bag or pockets so that you can be fully present with us. We will have a photographer capturing all of the important moments and photos., and its important that she is able to do her job. At the reception, you are welcome to take as many photos as you’d like! I look forward to seeing our wedding from your perspective!

When can I post/share the photos I take?

Answer

Any photos you take that do not include the bride and groom you are welcome (and encouraged) to post at any time. We only ask that you wait to post photos with the bride and groom until after we have posted to social media first.

Do you have a Wedding Hashtag?

Answer

You can add the hashtag #YouMaySmithTheBride and #SmithHappens to your social media post. We couldn't pick just one so be sure to use both!

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We are hosting a formal wedding. We ask that you come in your best formal attire. Please do not wear jeans or other casual clothing. Also, we ask that you refrain from wearing any form of white. The church will be air conditioned, so keep that in mind when dressing for summer weather!

Where should we send or bring a wedding gift?

Answer

On this website is a separate page where you can find our registry so, if you choose to order online, will be sent directly to our home address. If you choose to gift us with something not on our registry, there will be a designated table for gifts when your enter the venue.
