In May of 2015 Aubrey was at the Script concert with Jill and Camille. Like many friends Jill loved to look at Aubreys dating apps to which she stumbled upon Cam's profile. Jill excitedly exclaimed "Oh my god, I know her!! She's Gay?" In a fit of panic Aubrey immediately grabbed her phone back yelling "don't touch anything" as this particular app indicates when someone has viewed your profile. Jill went on to explain that she had previously worked with Cam at Unos and had really liked her. Aubrey politely nodded along knowing well, that the likelihood of Cam showing up again on that particular app was minimal. Fast forward almost three months later Aubrey redownloaded a different app that she had previously tried a year prior but was short lived as it was only available in select cities. They say when you meet someone it's meant to be. Well in a single weekend Cam came across that very same app. and became Aubrey's first and only "match." That following Monday morning Jill caught Aubrey smiling at her phone while messaging Cam. To which Jill asked in a snarky tone, "who are you talking to?" Aubrey replied in an equally snarky tone "your friend Cammie!" In September, Aubrey and Cam went on their first date at Mia Regazza. After dinner they sat under the stars on Humarock beach, talking for hours and the rest is history!
In August of 2015 during one of Cam and Aubrey's multiple hour long phone calls, Cam asked Aubrey where her favorite place in the world was. Without hesitation, Aubrey responded, "the river up at my family's house in Franconia." It was in that very moment Cam thought to herself, "If I ever marry this woman that is exactly where I would propose." Fast forward seven years later, while the Ham Branch river presented some logistical challenges, it feeds into what is known as the Gale River which then feeds into the Ammonoosuc River in Littleton, NH which Cam and Aubrey had made many memories in over the years. Knowing that Aubrey's one ask was that Cam wait until after they moved out of Aubrey's parents house, in April of 2022 Cam surprised Aubrey by dropping down on one knee right on the Ammonoosuc River.
After Cam proposed, Aubrey knew she had some work to do! Cam and Aubrey have loved spending time outdoors together taking walks and had spent a lot of time together at the beach. When it came time to propose, Aubrey knew it needed to be outdoors and preferably by water. By the time the ring was ready it was almost Christmas. Aubrey knew the chances of getting Cam to the beach in Marshfield without suspicion was low. She decided that a good alternative was World's End because they had made great memories there and there was a little beach she could use as the proposal spot. On the morning of New Year's Eve, Aubrey dropped to one knee while a handful of Cam's friends watched.
