The tini martini bar is Katie's favorite place to get a martini on the St. Augustine water front. Since it sits on the bay, a nice breeze is constantly present to help during the hot summer months. This is also a great spot to take a rest and people watch. Be warned, only get one...these martinis are very strong.
The San Sebastian Winery is one of the only winery in St. Augustine. They use the muscadine grapes to make most of their wines, which tends to make the wine be on the sweeter side. They offer free tastings during the week and weekend.
The St. Augustine Distillery was established in 2013 who distill and bottle every spirit they make. There are free tours and tastings all week from 10:30 to 5:30. After tasting some of their spirits and drinks, you can grab a snack/meal along with a drink at The Ice Plant next door.
The alligator farm is a great stop for families with little ones. This could easily be a whole day activity looking at alligators, snakes, sloths, and more at daily wildlife shows. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm is now the only facility in the world exhibiting living specimens of all 24 currently recognized species of crocodilian.
Enjoy a day at St. Augustine Beach. Just a quick 10 minute drive across the Bridge of Lions awaits a gorgeous beach day. You can go to the pier and enjoy a game of volleyball, or you could take a walk down the pier. On your way back to downtown St. Augustine, grab an ice cream cone at Cone Heads, have dinner at Salt Life, or grab a taco at my favorite Taco Shop -- Mojos!
If you would like a more relaxing beach than St. Augustine Beach, head on down to Anastasia State Park. There is a small entrance fee, but it is well worth it for some space away from the other tourists. Mangroves, beaches, tidal marshes, and old dunes are littered throughout the State Park, waiting for sightseeing visitors to check it out. You can go bird watching and try to find rare species, go beachcombing or swimming if you love the sun and surf, or you can try some watersports with rentable sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards. You could even rent a bike to make your trip across the park smoother.
