Things To Do

On March 7, 2020, Sigmund picked up Christina for their first date at a Berkley staple, Cafe M. Little did they know that this adventure (and we mean adventure) would be the start of the beginning of the rest of their lives together. As we come together to celebrate their first steps into forever, the couple wants to share a few of their favorite places here in the San Francisco bay area. From wineries and breweries, parks and lakes, to even their favorite Filipino restaurants, they hope you'll get to spend some time at some of our go-to places that led us to this union.

Cafe M

1799 Fourth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710
, (510) 526-4429

"This was our first date spot. Great for brunch or a quick lunch. Pro tip: Cafe M is located at Fourth Street Berkley and features many shops and restaurants. Great place to walk around and do some shopping. "

Isla Restaurant

5720 Mowry School Road, Newark, CA 94560
, (510) 445-1602

One of our favorite Filipino spots in the Bay! A must try if you're looking for authentic cuisine and a family-friendly environment. Pro tip: They have multiple locations in the bay, including one in San Bruno

Almanac Beer Co.

651 West Tower Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501
, (415) 992-3438

Our go-to brewery on Alameda island. Family friendly with great beers. Pro tip: Sig loves their Kolsch and Christina loves their Love IPA

Souvla

517 Hayes Street, San Francisco, CA 94102
, (415) 400-5458

Looking for a quick spot for a good meal? Souvla is a SF staple that has the most delicious Greek food. Pro tip: Grab your meal togo and take a stroll or hop on Muni to Mission Dolores Park (~1.5 miles away).

Russian River Brewing Company

700 Mitchell Lane, Windsor, CA 95492
, (707) 545-2337

Sig's favorite beer is the Pliny the Elder. Pro tip: They have a second tap room in Santa Rosa which is closer than the brewery. Both make for a great trip.

Russian River Vineyards

Forestville, CA 95436
, (707) 887-3344

If you ever visit Christina and Sig and want to visit wineries, this spot will for sure be on the list. It's a cute winery lost within the forest and best of all, really decently priced (your tasting is free if you buy a bottle of wine!). Pro tip: visit the website to make a reservation to make sure they can accommodate you before you go.

Brown Downtown Napa

1005 Coombs Street, Napa, CA 94559
, (707) 963-2435

As one of Napa's only black-owned wineries, this is a must stop in wine country. You'll learn about the history and family and drink delicious wine. Pro tip: Make a reservation!
