Thank you for celebrating our new chapter with us!

So we were set up... unintentionally. Jessica and Michael attended UNC together, I met Jessica the day I moved to Raleigh (literally) at a model casting call. We clicked immediately but I had no idea she would introduce me to my husband. Fast forward almost a year later to us at a hair show in Greensboro, NC. Anybody who knows Jessica knows that after a gig she is going to EAT. So she and Kris invite me to join them at Natty Greens located downtown Greensboro. I was reluctant to go because I had to drive back to Winston that night and then haul to Charlotte for another modeling event. I went anyway because my stomach was touching my back. The whole day Jessica is telling me she also invited a “friend” to join us for dinner but left out all specifics. So we get there before this “friend” and are cackling like usual until all of a sudden I see this tall, FINE, good postured, freshly lined up man walk up the steps. Ya’ll I could have passed out but instead I start scrolling on my phone to look uninterested as I peek at him through my peripheral. He walks closer and closer until finally I hear Jessica push her seat back and go “MICHAEL!!!” THEN MY HEART STOPPED. They hug and he daps up Kris and I’m like there is NO WAY I’m going to make it through this dinner without embarrassing myself so I play it cool. Jessica introduces us and he sticks his hand out to shake mine, so we connect and lock eyes... for like 5 seconds (no lie)... while Jessica and Kris are wondering what in the world we’re doing lol So we laugh all the way through dinner, trying not to make eye contact again because...weird. We finish and Michael offers to take my to-go box for me, I knew he was a gentleman then. Later Jessica sabotages us into taking a carriage ride together and getting ice cream. I haven’t had strawberry ice cream with anyone else since then.
