Flight
The closest airport to fly into. Once you fly in, the easiest option would be to either take a rideshare (Uber, Lyft) or rent a car to get downtown to your hotel or Airbnb (approximately 20 minutes away).
Flight
O'Hare Airport is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Milwaukee. From O'Hare, you can rent a car, take the train (Amtrak) or take a bus (Van Galder) to arrive in Milwaukee. Both the bus and train have stops in downtown Milwaukee.
House Or Rental
Don't forget to check out other housing options in Milwaukee! AirBNB and VRBO often have options located downtown or on the east side (closer to our venue) that may end up being cheaper than the hotel options (especially if you start to move out of the downtown area)!
Travel Note
Milwaukee is easily accessible by ride share apps. You can also try getting around downtown on the Hop! If the hotel or AirBNB parking options are too expensive, there are cheaper parking garages scattered throughout the city. Be sure to check out the app "ParkWhiz" for other parking options as well! If you plan on driving to the venue, there will be three parking lots available to us behind the venue that should be able to accommodate most cars. There will be parking attendants to help direct from the parking lot to the correct entrance of the building. In the unlikely event that these parking spots fill up, there are a number of street parking options (often metered before 6pm) that should provide adequate parking opportunity.
Train
Milwaukee has introduced a very cute, new "streetcar" called the Hop that can help you travel around Milwaukee. The Hop has multiple stops in downtown, some of which are walking distance from various hotels (including the ones where we created hotel blocks). The final stop on the Hop is one block away from the Renaissance Place - the venue for all of our wedding events! PSA - I doubt this will be an adequate form of public transportation if you plan on exploring other areas of Milwaukee (outside of downtown), but between rideshare and the Hop, you should have no problem getting around!
