How We Met

Even though we went to college and medical school at the same place, we somehow never crossed paths. We finally met at a Halloween party in 2016, where we could not stop talking to each other all evening. We went on our first official date the very next week and we just never stopped dating after that. Three years later, here we are, about to get married!

#kushieverafter

KUsha + SHIlpa = KUSHI (Shilpa's creative cousin, Hima, gets all the credit for thinking of this) Kushi (or khushi) also means "happiness" in a number of different languages such as Urdu & Hindi, and is now often used in Telugu as well. We are so happy with each other and surrounded by our family and friends. We can't wait to continue finding happiness together for the rest of our lives (cheesy, but true). Use #kushieverafter (kind of like happily ever after :)) on all your social media posts so that we can find all your photos and reminisce after all the celebrations!
