How We Met

August 13, 2015

We had met each other in undergrad at College of Mount Saint Vincent ( CMSV) in Riverdale, New York. I was a first year Resident Assistant and Brian had just transferred to CMSV with his best friend ,Brian Adriance, for wrestling. We didn't have any involvement with each other except when I had to respond to an incident in the Freshmen's dormitory while I was on duty with my best friend, Louisa Jamgochian. Fast forward, I had just graduated from CMSV and preparing to take my nursing license boards when I came across an event happening at a prestigious club/bar in the city. I had no idea that the club/event promoter I was speaking to in preparation leading up the event date was none other than the infamous Brian Latham. August 13,2015 was the night that really started this life long journey with the love of my life.

The Proposal

07.18.23

We were flying to Paris, France for my 30th Birthday week celebration from JFK Airport with my mother. You all know ever since we had lost Tita Liza, Mom can always be found by our sides and this time isn't any different. We landed in Paris on July 18,2023, Tuesday morning at 6:50am. Early start to our European trip and as always I had an agenda not knowing there was already an agenda for me later that evening. We checked into our hotel, dropped our bags and began exploring Paris. We returned to the hotel, took a quick nap, and got ready for dinner reservations at JJ Paris 8eme at 7pm and scheduled to tour the Eiffel Tower at 9:30pm that evening. We had a very Parisenne authentic dinner with my favorite food and started our way to the famous Eiffel Tower. As we ascended to the very top of the Eiffel Tower, I had noticed that Brian and my mom were standing next to each other with their heads close. I found that suspicious. We made the final ascent, just in time to witness the Parisienne sunset, where you could find my mom trying to find the perfect angle to take a picture. I didn't think of why my mom was so adamant in finding a clear space, I had just thought it was because she wanted a new profile picture. Boy was I wrong. Mom told me lets go downstairs, it was still the top but less crowded and she pushed Brian next to me for a picture. I posed and Brian took his crossover bag and pulled out a white box with the most gorgeous ring in it ( it had the exact descriptions and size I had written on a blue post it note of what engagement ring I would like). Brian got down on one knee and I said the most easiest YES of my life.
