Shane and I met through Bumble in July 2020. I messaged him first because I thought he was so cute. He and I talked back in forth through text and set up a day to go on a date. I got so nervous I almost canceled and I’m so glad I didn’t. Ever since that first date we have been inseparable. Flash forward four years later and we still laugh like we’re first dating and going on all our adventures together. To only imagine what I would have missed out on if I had canceled that date. Our Engagement Shane proposed to me at a bakery dear to my family’s and I’s heart. Ever since I was a little girl we would go to that bakery every Saturday morning before going to take care of my great grandmother. We bonded over lemon bars and butterfly cookies every weekend and it brought a type of magic into my childhood that couldn’t be replaced. When I met Shane and we started dating I took him to that same bakery and explained the importance and significance of The Lovin Oven to him. It felt all too right to have him ask me to be his wife there. Sadly, my great grandmother is no longer here to witness the event; but I know him doing it there that she was there in spirit. I was so surprised and caught off guard I wore CROCS. he did everything right, planning a secret photographer and planning out the exact moment. I was so overwhelmed that I cried. I am extremely grateful Shane was sent to me and I get to live the rest of my life with my best friend.
