VACCINATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY. At this time, we are not requiring a negative test for entry. If the Covid wave were to spike again, we may end up requiring this to ensure everyones safety and well being. Please check back closer to our wedding day for confirmation!
The dress code for our wedding is as fancy as you're willing to go. Conventional rules of society tell us that under no circumstances should you ever upstage the bride. We say that is nonsense. Lace and leather, sequins and studs, pearls, latex, fringe, and jewels, the options are unbounded and fantasy is cosmic. We only ask that you do not wear white. We have lovingly called our theme Met Gala; Elegant Christmas; interpret this as you see fit. Lio is a costume designer... she dares you to bring your A-Game. This event is not one to hold back.
The floor of the Barn is wooden and weathered. A thicker heel would be recommended for the ladies to avoid getting caught!
December in Lancaster is a capital question mark. Be prepared for colder weather; there will be coat racks available for you to check any additional layers. Snow is a possibility. The Farm is temperature regulated and will be nice and toasty inside!
Both will be taking place at the Farm at Eagles Ridge, the ceremony downstairs in the Grainery, and the reception upstairs in the Barn.
With Ben's connection to religious studies, we will be having a ceremony that features a vast number of different religions and ceremonial traditions. We expect it to last nearly an hour, and will end with close family members around the outside fire pit to raise our vows to the great spirit while the remaining guests begin to enjoy our cocktail hour.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for a brief interlude. Guests can hang out in the Grainery where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
As it is Ben's and Lio's favorite holiday, our wedding theme is Met Gala; Elegant Christmas.
Each event has an associated digital RSVP. If you are interested in joining us for an event you do not have RSVP access to, please ask but please be respectful of our limitations.
Our RSVP deadline is now October 15th; we have experienced some delays with the post office and understand the complexities! Please don't tie your RSVP to your flight and hotel; if you know you're in, let us know too! You're already on the right website. Just click "RSVP" above, type the name that was listed on your envelope, and answer accordingly!
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” to each invited event, so we can plan accordingly.
We will have a series of coordinated shuttles too and from the Lancaster Holiday Inn, so we can ensure a coordinated parking lot and a safe trip home.
We ask everyone to arrive at the venue by 3:30 to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. The last shuttle will leave the Holiday at 3:15, and arrive by 3:30.
There is very limited parking at the Farm (only about 15 spots), so please leave these available for those who have limited mobility.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Our guest list is currently closed. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
We have a small block of rooms at the Holiday Inn for our guests. Our special guest pricing is only available until Oct 31st. If you plan on checking into the hotel on Saturday, please make note for early check-in, so you may attend all of our festivities with time to spare. Downtown Lancaster is also a wonderful place to find a plethora of AirBnBs or alternative stays!
The Farm does not have an elevator, but is wheelchair accessible from an outside door for both levels of the venue!
We will have an open bar for our guests, as well as a seated dinner.
We can accommodate all dietary restrictions; please just make note of this in your RSVP!
We have a dual-registry. Being such avid travelers, Ben and Lio have decided to go with a very limited physical registry, and instead ask that you provide us an experience for our honeymoon!
No; please be respectful of the fact that many of our pieces were created for this event by the Bride and Grooms hands, and a number of pieces are rentals.
Yes of course! Our ceremony will be an unplugged ceremony, but please photograph our reception, and tag us at #ItWasMannToBe
