Question

TRAVEL INFO - how/where/what

Answer

The venue is address is: The Cabin @ Bridgewater 393 Vermont 100A Bridgewater, VT 05035 We are in the middle of nowhere! Kinda....but there are options for travel. If you are having a hard time figuring out travel, please reach out to us and we're happy to help work with you on figuring out a plan. While we cannot commit to personally giving you a ride, we may be able to help coordinate! If you're close enough to roadtrip, we'd recommend driving to the venue if possible as it's not super close to any major city. You'll also be happy to have a car for exploring this beautiful area and the drive itself from all directions is quite beautiful. However for our very far out of state folks, here are some nearby airports and transportation options. I'd still recommend renting a car or collaborating with folks on rides. The drive from all directions is very pretty as well so thats a plus! AIRPORTS: - Rutland Southern (RUT) - 45 min - Lebanon Municipal (LEB) - 45 min - Burlington Int'l (BTV) - 1.5 hrs - Manchester Boston Regional (MHT) - 1.5 hrs - Boston Logan Int'l (BOS) - 2.5 hrs - Albany Int'l (ALB) - 2.5 hrs AMTRACK: - Rutland Station (RUD) - 30 min

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as you can!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Friday: any time after 3pm Saturday: We recommend at least an hour or two before the ceremony (which is at 5pm) but you're welcome any time Sunday: head on out by 11am please :) Check out the "Schedule" tab for full details

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We're getting lots of questions about what everyone should wear :) The vibe of the day will be "boho meets camp" with a splash of bougie. So think flowy sundresses and linen wear. You're more than welcome to dress it up more or take it down a notch. I wouldnt suggest fancy heeled shoes as everything is in a field, flats are recommended. For guys, a full suit might be a bit hot so a rolled dress shirt sleeves or short sleeve dress shirts are totally supported - throw on a vest if you want to fancy it up a bit.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Relaxed semi formal. The grounds are totally covered in grass and the river front is a sandy beach. Heels will probably not be a fun time!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only if you received a plus one on your invite please :)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Just a heads up, there is a river, large fire, and drinking. Do what you're comfortable with. We love kiddos!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, 20 acres worth! RVs and campers are welcome as well.

Question

If I'm camping, should I bring my own gear?

Answer

Yes, we will have nothing extra so bring a tent, RV, camper, or sleep under the stars! For our Texans, bring a sleeping bag and something warm! Even summer nights can be cool up north. Also, don't forget a pillow (we do too often). We will have an event tent setup up too so it's totally fair game to grab a spot under that once night time hits if you just care about having a roof and want to live life on the edge...it may or may not have walls :)

Question

If I don't want to camp, are there places to stay?

Answer

Yes, there are plenty of hotels and lodges near by. Keep in mind, there is no shuttle to or from anywhere and we aren't sure about the ride share availability. Check out the "Camping & Lodging" tab for details on options

Question

Do I need to bring food if I'm camping?

Answer

Highly recommended. We will have food for wedding events Saturday, but likely only light snacks Friday night and Sunday morning. There is an indoor and outdoor kitchen as well as a fire to cook on! Make it your own camping experience too :) There is a general store and a brew house 1/2 mile down the road for supplies!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will already be including gluten free options but if you have an allergy to anything else, please let us know so we can have something for you.

Question

Where will I pee?

Answer

Pick a tree or pop a squat! There will also be mobile event bathrooms outside, and 6 indoor bathrooms between the Cabin and Farmhouse for daytime use.

Question

If I'm camping, will I have somewhere to get ready and dressed for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Everyone has access to the Cabin and Farmhouse. We do anticipate a lot of people needing to share the space prior to the ceremony. Keep that in mind and start getting ready as early as you can!

Question

Will I be able to shower?

Answer

Short answer: yes! Longer: There are 6 showers between the Cabin and Farmhouse, we'll all need to work together in sharing the day of the wedding as there will potentially be lots of folks needing to shower...we recommend starting early to grab a shower or take one the night before.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We plan to have a healthy amount of alcohol for the weekend events but please bring what you want to drink for camping and rest of your stay! There are places around to purchase alcohol, and also a brewery down the street :)

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

We're asking everyone to please not bring your animals. There will be too much going on and the property is not fenced in. Thank you for understanding!
