Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Shelby Shearon and Scott Ruggiero
There are so many options at your fingertips here in Boulder. These are some highlights.

Take a Hike

There are many places to immerse yourself in nature in Boulder but the Flatirons are the iconic photo of Boulder. Sanita's is a great option. Shelby loves Shanahan Ridge. Scott has hiked the Flatirons hundreds of times. If elevation is not your friend, the Boulder Creek Path is delightful.

Grab a beer at the many micro breweries around town

Boulder has always been a hub for micro breweries and there are so many options that you just need to taste them for yourselves. Some of our favorites include: Avery Brewing, Sanitas, Vision Quest, Mountain Sun, Wild Provisions, 4 Noses.

Stroll Pearl Street

Enjoy the iconic Boulder walking mall. Do a little shopping, check out some unique street art and grab a bite or drink at many favorite spots. Places we recommend along the strip: Mountain Sun, Avanti Food Hall (New Yorkese Pizza on the rooftop!), Corrida, Jungle, T aco, Zoe Mama, Post, Japango, Oak at Fourteenth among others.

Attend a CU Football Game

Scott's Alma Mater the CU Buffs are taking on the CSU Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Saturday 9/16. See Coach Prime in his second home game lead the Buffs to victory!

Take a drive through the Canyons

If you have a car, get out on the roads and check out the neighboring towns. There are some pretty epic canyon drives from Boulder to Netherland via the Boulder Canyon. Make a trip to Estes Park to see some beautiful mountain peaks. Head out to Golden and see the Coors Brewery, From there you can drive through the Clear Creek Canyon and do some gambling in Blackhawk. There are some amazing sights to see making a trip out to Colorado fulfilled.

Check out Denver

Denver is only a 35 minute car drive from Boulder. The city is home to sporting events, hundreds of restaurants and watering holes and more breweries than you want to visit. If you need a break from the eating and drinking that Colorado offers, check out one of the many museums to learn about Colorado history, Classic or Modern Art, Science and Nature and Meow Wolf (highly recommend). Are favorite areas to bounce around are: RINO district (beer, art, food), Highlands (cocktails, food), Downtown (shopping, cocktails, sights), Capitol Hill (museums, parks, bars/restaurants).
