Staying in/near Eagles Mere

Eagles Mere is a small (very, very small) town with few traditional hotel accommodations, and no options for public transportation/rideshare. You will need a car to get here, and during your stay. If you're looking for lodging, we have reserved a small block of rooms at the Pavilion at the Park in Laporte (6 miles away), but if you want to stay in Eagles Mere proper, we recommend that you check the Eagles Mere Inn or look at VRBO and Air B&B to find places to stay. HOUSES WILL FILL-July is a high-demand month in EM, so if you want to stay locally, reserve sooner rather than later. Ashley would be more than happy to look at listings before you book to make sure they're conveniently located, and will also happily connect guests who would like to book a group house with others looking for the same!

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP)

This is the largest "local" airport to Eagles Mere, at about 1 hr 15 minutes away, with the most robust flight schedule. It is served by American and United.

Elmira Corning Regional Airport (ELM)

Served by Delta and Allegiant Airlines, Elmira Corning Regional Airport is another viable choice for flights. It is about 90 minutes away.

Williamsport Regional Airport (IPT)

If you like tiny prop planes, Williamsport Regional may be for you! While it is the closest airport to Eagles Mere (40 minutes), this airport is served only by American Airlines with a very limited flight schedule.

The Inn does not hold room blocks, so these rooms are catch-as-catch-can, but we wanted to make sure you were aware it was an option!

Hotel Dushore

Hotel Dushore is about 20 minutes away from Eagles Mere. As a bonus of staying here, you will be able to visit the only traffic light in Sullivan County! (And if you're from elsewhere, note that it's DEW-shore, not du-SHORE.)

Worlds End State Park

If you're feeling especially adventurous, you can camp or book a cabin in Worlds End State Park. The site is beautiful and these campgrounds/cabins do fill, but note that they will be VERY rustic! Though the cabins have furniture, guests will need to bring their own linens (including blankets), dishes, and sundries. There is no running water; bathrooms are outhouses and shared "shower houses" serve the entire site. Like we said....you should be feeling especially adventurous if you take this option!
